Sarah Klinefelter, Sr. Counselor
Ever since I was little, I have loved camp. I went every summer from
the age of 6 to 14; then I became a CIT for Camp of the Woods, which is
where I have been ever since! In my 4 years as a staff member, I have
held the positions of CIT, Head CIT, Counselor, and Director of Sports
and Games. Interacting with the kids and having fun is the best job I
could think of. Canoeing, Fishing, Swimming, Scavenger Hunts, Sports
and Games, Water fights, night duty, eating at the dining hall, and
participating in all of the special events are things I genuinely love
doing. As a counselor, I think it's important to have fun, but more
importantly, I want the kids to have fun! |

Jami Myers, Counselor
I am a freshman here at SMWC. I grew up with the Woods as my backyard which is why I chose to come here. I am majoring in elementary education while double minoring in Spanish and special education. I have been actively involved with young children for many years from babysitting to working in a daycare. Some of my hobbies include playing a variety of instruments, swimming, and taekwondo in which I hold a second degree black belt. I attended Camp at the Woods twice when I was younger so I am very excited to return as a counselor. I hope you will enjoy Camp at the Woods as much as I did! |

Sarah Michael, Counselor
Being a Counselor at Camp at the Woods has proven to be the most
unforgettable and exhilarating experience of my 18 year old life! Every
June, I eagerly return to this camp for another round, and it gives me
tremendous delight when children from previous years remember me!
Throughout the week of camp, I connect with my campers through various
activities from swimming and canoeing to theater, dance and horseback
riding. Camp is a nonstop, exciting adventure, and it has become like
my second home. |

Jenny Hyatt, Counselor and Program Assistant
When first attending college, I majored in business and worked as an
Office Manager for four years. After two years, however, I realized I
missed working with children and became very involved in our church
youth group. I headed up the junior high and high school programs, and
then went on to teach Sunday school classes for 2nd graders which is
where I found my niche. I love working with younger children, so I
decided to finish my degree in Early Childhood Education. I currently
volunteerat the Woods Day Care/ Pre-school where I am a teacher's aid to
the four and five year old class, and I am truly looking forward to
working at Camp at the Woods this summer! |

Andrew Snider, Counselor
I will be 17 this year, and I have been going to Camp at the Woods for
many years now--the last couple of which have been on the staff side as
a CIT and as a Junior Counselor. I have had a lot of experience with
our Adventure camps and a number of our specialty camps as well. It is
a lot different than being a camper but it's still lots of fun! |

Sierra Winters, Junior Counselor/Counselor
I am seventeen years old and I work at Build-A-Bear workshop. I enjoy reading, arts & crafts, music (violin, viola, and piano), dance,
cheerleading, volleyball, and anything to do with animals! I was
involved in competitive dance and instruction for several years, but now
school is my primary focus. I also study the viola privately through the
Indianapolis Music Academy. I am a huge animal lover, but I also love
meeting new people and trying new things. I plan on attending Marian
College, Purdue University, or SMWC in the fall of 2009! |

Denise Orman, Counselor
I am 18 years old, and this will be my third year as a Counselor or CIT
at Camp of the Woods. I have a personal interest in most of camps we
offer and have been a part of almost all of them in some way. I love
working with the children and count down the days until the start of
camp from the time the previous camp ends! Some of my favorite camp
programs i've worked with so far include: Adventure, Equestrian and Art
Camp. Each new year offers new adventures, as well as memories that I
truly treasure. So needless to say, I'm really looking forward to
coming back!! |

Pre-Vet major with a minor in Psychology. I attended Camp at the Woods
for three years in elementary school and I loved it, so I am really
excited to be a counselor! In the past I have worked with children at
church summer camps as well as with the Big Brother/Big Sister program
at school. |

Kendra Twohey, Counselor
I'm currently a freshman at SMWC. I am
an Elementary Education major, with a minor in mild intervention. As a
child I went to camp almost every summer, and some of my best childhood memories were from camp. My experiency with kids, aside from my major, includes assisting with a variety of summer tennis camps (for kids 7-14)
and acting as a Party Leader for Build-A-Bear Workshops. I am very
open minded and willing to try new things--a quality that was
strengthened when I was a foreign exchange student in Japan! As a
Counselor for Camp at the Woods, my goal is to be a good role model and
to make sure our campers have a great time! |

Kyle Pate, Counselor
I am sixteen years old and this will be my second year at Camp At The Woods. I have been coming to camp for a kabillion years, so I'm pretty familiar with the campus, the staff, and the camp activities. When I was a camper, I attended the theatre camp for three years in a row, and I was one of the counselors for it last year. I also am really into music, as most of the staff is, and you will probably be hearing me playing my viola from time to time in Le Fer. More importantly, I am really just a big kid inside, so I get along with my campers really well. I am really looking forward to summer and I cannot wait to meet all our new campers! |

This will be Marie's third consecutive year at Camp at the Woods, where she has worked with our film, dance and recreation camps. And Sammy...well, he's just cute. What else can you say?
